TRICONEX TRICON 4508 High Speed Channel Interface Module (HIM)
Main Processor ModulesModel 3008 Main Processors (MP) areavailable for Tricon v9.6 and latersystems. For detailed specifications,see the Planning and Installation Guidefor Tricon Systems.Three MPs must be installed in theMain Chassis of every Tricon system.Each MP independently communicateswith its I/O subsystem and executes theuser-written control program.Sequence of Events (SOE)and Time SynchronizationDuring each scan, the MPs inspectdesignated discrete variables for statechanges known as events. When anevent occurs, the MPs save the currentvariable state and time stamp in thebuffer of an SOE block.If multiple Tricon systems areconnected by means of NCMs, the timesynchronization capability ensures aconsistent time base for effective SOEtime-stamping.
