The DP-V1 series MVI94-MCM master station communication module with CFG port is designed by Prosoft Technology under the sub-brand inRAx. The module uses the CFG port as its main interface, which has bright LED indicators for displaying operational elements such as module status, power status, application status, end action and error status. The connection cables used with this module are RJ45 to DB-9 M and 6 ft RS-232 cables. The backplane of the module is rated at 800 mA and has a maximum voltage of 5 V DC. The power distance rating is 2 and must be in 2 slots if used with the 1746-L43 and 1746-L45. The MVI94-MCM is compatible with the single-slot 1769 backplane and is recognized by the processor as an input/output module. The MVI46-MNETC module can be used to access the processor’s memory to transfer data between the processor and the module. The data transfer between these two components is performed using Ladder Logic, which comes with a sample ladder diagram file that you can use. The MVI94-MCM module is compatible with all processors in the CompactLogix family, including L20/L23/L30/L31/L32/L35, L43 and L45. In addition, the module supports most MicroLogix 1500 LRP controllers. The module has passed explosion-proof Certificate (ATEX Directive), CE, CB safety, Lloyd’s Register, C/UL Class 1, Zone 2 and other standards and approvals. The environmental conditions for using the module include a relative non-condensing humidity of 5 to 95%, an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit), and a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit).
MVI94-MCM is a Prosoft Technology module used as a Profibus master station network module. The module is particularly compatible with Profibus Distributed Peripherals (DP) Version 1 industrial networks. It is a single-slot module that can be mounted directly onto the 1769 backplane for use by the 1769 CompactLogix controller. In addition, the module is compatible with the MicroLogix 1500 LRP controller.
The MVI94-MCM supports communication with up to 125 slave devices, with or without ProfiBus Repeaters. It is capable of processing up to 1536 bytes of input and 1536 bytes of output data. In addition, this module can be configured to provide extended diagnostic data.
