The MVI46 comes with one (1) 9-pin Sub-D female connector with Ready, Run, error, and token LED indicators. The port supports standard Profibus transfers of up to 12 Mbps, allowing multiple Profibus master stations to be installed in a single slot; Therefore, the host controller is allowed to communicate with various ProfiBus network segments.

In addition, accessory tools provided by the manufacturer can be used to help simplify the hardware configuration and define the data transfer for this module.

The backplane current consumption of the MVI69-PDPMV1 is 800 MA @ 5 volts DC with a power distance rating of 2. If used with the 1769-L43 and 1769-L45, they must be installed in the first two (2) slots of the module. It has an operating temperature of 0°C to 60°C (32°F to 140°F) and a non-operating temperature of -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C).

The DP-V1 series MVI46-ADMNET master station communication module with CFG port is designed by Prosoft Technology under the sub-brand inRAx. The module uses the CFG port as its main interface, which has bright LED indicators for displaying operational elements such as module status, power status, application status, end action and error status. The connection cables used with this module are RJ45 to DB-9 M and 6 ft RS-232 cables. The backplane of the module is rated at 800 mA and has a maximum voltage of 5 V DC. MVI46-ADMNET is a Prosoft Technology module used as a Profibus master station network module. The module is particularly compatible with Profibus Distributed Peripherals (DP) Version 1 industrial networks. It is a single-slot module that can be mounted directly onto the 1769 backplane for use by the 1769 CompactLogix controller. In addition, the module is compatible with the MicroLogix 1500 LRP controller.

The MVI46-ADMNET supports communication with up to 125 slave devices, with or without ProfiBus Repeaters. It is capable of processing up to MVI46 bytes of input and MVI46 bytes of output data. In addition, this module can be configured to provide extended diagnostic data.
