NI PXI-2529 (Part number: 778739-01, 189397A-01, 189688B-01) is a high-density, 1 Wire, 128 crossing point PXI matrix switch module. Users can configure it as an 8×16 2-wire, 4×32, or 4 × 16 2-wire double matrix using different NI terminal attachments. The module is equipped with electromechanical relays with excellent low thermal offset performance and high power signals for accurate measurements at low voltage levels. The NI PXI-2529 features relay counting for deterministic operation and hardware triggering for increased test throughput. The device is equipped with a 100-pin HDI front panel connector.

The PXI-2529 is a high-density PXI matrix switch module that can be configured as a 4×32 or 8×16 2-wire matrix using different junction box accessories. The module uses electromechanical relays that provide excellent performance for high-power signals while having low thermal offset for precise measurements at low voltage levels. The PXI‑2529 also has an onboard relay count for monitoring relays and enables deterministic operation via hardware triggers, resulting in increased test throughput.

The measurement class of the switch module is Class I and is designed to carry signal voltages up to 150 volts. However, it can withstand voltage surges of up to 800 V. With this model, users can achieve A maximum switching power of 30 W, 37.5VA, A maximum switching current of 1 A, a maximum carrying current per channel of 2 A, and a maximum current of up to 8 A. The NI PXI-2529 provides 150 V interchannel switching voltage and 150 V CATI channel switching voltage to ground. The device has A maximum release time of 4 ms at 20 °C, an expected mechanical relay life of 5 x 107 cycles, an electrical relay life of 5 x 105 cycles at 30 V, 100 mA, and 1 x 105 cycles at 30 V, 1 A
