I. Product Description

5SHY3545L0010 is an ABB StakPak water-cooled press-fit asymmetric IGCT (Integrated Gate Commutating Thyristor) high-power power chip, paired with the dedicated driver board 3BHB013088R0001. Together, they form a complete power switch unit. It relies on 3BHB010944R0001 isolation power supply to provide 24V drive power, uses optical fiber to transmit control signals, and is mainly used in ACS5000 and ACS6000 water-cooled medium-voltage variable frequency power bridges, undertaking large-power AC/DC power conversion and heavy-load motor speed control.

 Product Performance

The press-fit structure has a small contact thermal resistance and excellent water-cooling efficiency. It can operate at full load for 7×24 hours with heavy load.

Combining the low conduction loss of thyristors and the high-speed turn-off capability of IGBTs, the switching characteristics are stable. It is suitable for kHz-level PWM modulation conditions.

It must be paired with the original factory's dedicated 3BHB013088R0001 driver board. The gate charge and switching timing are factory-calibrated and matched. It cannot be used with other driver models.

It can achieve comprehensive short-circuit, undervoltage, over-temperature, and overload protection through the driver. Faults are blocked with microsecond-level pulses, significantly reducing the risk of tube explosion.

It has strong resistance to voltage shock and electromagnetic interference, and can withstand dusty, high-harmonic, and other harsh working conditions in metallurgy, mining, offshore wind power, etc.
