TRICONEX TRICON 5352 Analog Input RTD/TC/4-20 mA TriPak 1
Solid-State Relay OutputModuleEach Solid-State Relay Output Modulehas three isolated sets of electronics, called channels, which independentlyaccept data from the MP associatedwith each channel. The channelsprovide input to a voter circuit whichuses the voted value to drive the coil ofthe relay. The output portion of thismodule is Simplex. The SRO Module is a non-triplicatedmodule for use on non-critical pointswhich are not compatible with highside, solid-state output switches; forexample, interfacing with annunciatorpanels. The SRO Module receivesoutput signals from the MPs on each ofthree channels. The three sets of signalsare voted and the voted data is used todrive the 32 individual relays. Eachoutput has a loop-back circuit whichverifies the operation of each relayswitch independently of the presence ofa load. Ongoing diagnostics test theoperational status of the SRO Module.SRO Modules include complete, ongoing diagnostics for each channel. If the diagnostics detect a failure on anychannel, the Fault indicator turns onand activates the system alarm. TheFault indicator identifies a channelfault, not a complete module failure.SRO Modules are guaranteed to operateproperly in the presence of a single faultand may continue to operate properlywith multiple faults.SRO Modules support a hot-sparemodule. Each SRO Module is mechanically keyed to prevent improper installation in a configured baseplate. The Model 3451 SRO Module iscompatible with the Model 2451 SROBaseplate.

Tricon CommunicationModuleThe Tricon Communication Module(TCM), which is compatible with onlyTricon v10.0 and later systems, allowsthe Tricon to communicate with TriStation 1131, other Tricon or Tridentcontrollers, Modbus master and slavedevices, and external hosts overEthernet networks. Each TCM contains four serial ports, two network ports, and one debug port(for Triconex use). Each serial port is uniquely addressedand can be configured as a Modbusmaster or slave. Serial Port #1 supportseither the Modbus or the Trimble GPSinterface. Serial Port #4 supports eitherthe Modbus or the TriStation interface. Each TCM supports an aggregate datarate of 460.8 kilobits per second, for allfour serial ports.Any standard Modbus device cancommunicate with the Tricon throughthe TCM, provided that aliases areassigned to the Tricon variables. Aliasnumbers must also be used when host
