I. Product Overview
The American Woodward 8237 series high-power actuator drive + overspeed protection integrated module. 8237-2597 is the standard drive model, receiving 4-20mA / pulse control signals from the upper-level speed control controller. It directly drives hydraulic / electromagnetic fuel actuators, integrates a three-out-of-two overspeed protection logic, and is installed in a panel-mounted housing. It is suitable for fuel valve driving and safety interlock of gas turbines, steam turbines, and high-power diesel generator sets.

Dual-function integration: combines actuator power drive + unit overspeed protection, can amplify control signal to drive fuel actuator, and independently collect speed to achieve overspeed trip protection, dual circuits do not interfere with each other;
Three-out-of-Two Fault Tolerance Protection: three independent speed sampling, 2/3 voting logic, single-point probe failure does not cause false trip, significantly reduces the probability of false shutdown;
Drive Closed-loop Self-correction: real-time collect actuator valve position feedback, automatically compensate coil temperature drift, oil pressure fluctuation, steady-state valve position control error ≤ ±0.2% FS;
Full Fault Self-check: power reverse connection, output short circuit, probe break, actuator locked rotation, over-temperature real-time alarm and hierarchical output locking, built-in fault record power-off preservation;
Multi-signal Compatibility: supports 4-20mA, 0-10VDC, CAN bus three types of main control instructions access, can be connected to Woodward 5437, 7200 series controllers.
