The 140CPU53414B is a Modicon Quantum processor for use with ProWorx 32 or Concept software. It includes a mathematical coprocessor and an internal memory of 2972 kB RAM. This unit is functionally identical to the non-B version, with some considerations. If you are using the CPU in a Hot Standby setup, you must use with two non-A, two A, or two B versions. The B version also requires a new flash exec, which is not interchangeable with the A and non-A flash executives. These products are manufactured in France and are designed for Material handling, packaging, and textile machines usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. Features
The front panel has a slide switch which is used to select the comm parameter settings for the Modbus RS232 ports on the 140CPU53414B. There are three options, the top is for ASCII functionality, the middle is for RTU functionality, and the bottom allows you to assign comm parameters to the port. The CPU hardware defaults to bridge mode when the switch is set to RTU or ASCII mode. The processor uses Intel 486 DX4. The clock speed is 100 MHz. The processor is onboard as well as a watchdog timer that is adjustable. This module has internal memory, 2.7 Mb max.

How to use a Modicon 140CPU53414B
When starting a system that is powered by summable power supplies, the appropriate way to do that is to introduce both supplies in the rack. This must be done in an unpowered state. After both unpowered supplies are installed in the rack you can then apply power to each supply. You do not have to turn them on at the same time. This is because the summable supply is independent of the total rack load.
