The Modicon 140ACO13000 is an analog output module manufactured by Schneider Electric. It is part of the Modicon Quantum ExoStruxure control series for discreet and analog I/O modules. It can be configured with UnityPro software. This unit has eight channels for analog output used to control and monitor current. It does this in 4 … 20 mA, 0 … 20 mA, and 0 … 25 mA loops.

Features

The Schneider Electric 140ACO13000 Modicon module has six identifiable features. On the top front of the module, you can see the color-coded module number as well as a description. Beneath the number is the LED with 8 different indicators. Enclosed in the removable door with a customer identification label is the fuse cutout area. and the field wiring terminal strip.

The 140ACO13000 LED to alert you green when the Bus communication is present. The LED alerts RED when there is an error external to the module detected. 1…8 are green when the module outputs are switched on, and red when there is an indication of a channel having a broken wire.

The input range on this module is 0…25 mA 0…20 mA 4…20 mA. The resolution is 0…25 mA: 0…25,000 points 0…20 mA: 0…20,000 points 4…20 mA: 0…16,000 points (default) 4…20 mA: 0…4095 points. There is no isolation between channels. and it has 8 output words. The Bus current required is 550 mA. It has a max dissipated power of 5.0 W. You can modify the configuration online. It carries UL 508, CSA 22.2-142, e, FM Class 1 Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2/22 approvals.

How to use a 140ACO13000

The Schneider Electric 140ACO13000 is used within a local Quantum I/O station. To insert a module in the local station you must follow the following steps. Call the Bus editor and use the left mouse button to mark a free slot in the local station. move the mouse pointer over the slot and right-click the shortcut menu and choose a new device. You can then configure the parameters for the module by opening the dialog box for the installed module.

When configuring your I/O discrete module you can choose to deliver the I/O data in either word format or bit format.
